David M. Niven
CEO
David served as an attorney in private practice and for large corporations for over 21 years in Lansing, Michigan.
He graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, passing the bar in 1980. He received dual Bachelor Degrees from Central Michigan University in Political Science and English; and minored in Business Administration, Earth Science and Sociology.
In his practice, David worked with many small and multi-national corporations, consulting, building the organizations and acquiring real estate for expansions. He specialized in bankruptcy for both private individuals and corporations. From this vast experience he has learned the essentials of making a business work.
In addition to his law practice, David also owned and ran a Real Estate brokerage, and a distributorship for a multi-national food corporation.
He has been active in his community and in politics, and has served on several non-profit organization boards, where he ran successful fund-raising campaigns.
David is the proud father of four children, three of whom are currently in college. He also enjoys getting involved with his community, and working on creative projects at home.
Toni Lawrence
Administrator
Our Chief Administrator, Toni Lawrence, is a certified Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer. She received her certification in Bookkeeping from Universal Accounting, and has completed Tax courses at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.
Educated in Business Administration and Early Childhood Education, Toni attended Ball State University, Indiana University, AMS College and S.W. Michigan College. She also has extended her education by attending numerous courses in Marketing and Business Administration.
An entrepreneur in her own right for over 15 years, Toni started and owned a local newspaper, printing company, bookkeeping service, and virtual assistant. She has worked in Business Management, Retail and Journalism for 20 years, and is a self-taught graphic artist.
She brings enthusiasm, creativity, sound business sense, and a solid work ethic to any job she undertakes.
A published writer and columnist, Toni currently is a staff writer for TAPS Magazine.
For 18 years, Toni has worked with and been on the board of Niles/Buchanan Area Habitat for Humanity. She also organized and chaired the Buchanan (MI) Labor Day Festival for three years, ran the local Easter egg hunt, and served on several boards for area festivals and events.
Her greatest accomplishments are her four children and granddaughter. She is passionate about politics, reading, writing, and exploring the world of metaphysics.
